Basic information
MOVIAXIS® is designed for a wide area of applications in mechanical and plant engineering due
to its power range and functions. Areas of applications comprise handling, robotics, packaging
as well as logistics systems, for example. The top priority is to make the many technology and
motion control functions, which are integrated free of charge, more user-friendly in a PLC
structure familiar to the user. This is when MOVIAXIS® drive intelligence plays off against drives
that are not capable of performing a positioning task unless an "additional" control component is
installed. Value was attached to various intuitively available access levels to the unit functionality
that offers the startup engineer / programmer fast access and maximum solution flexibility.

Power range and design
MOVIAXIS® multi-axis servo inverters were designed for compact machine and system
automation applications. All system components are designed in space-saving book format with
an installation depth of 260 mm, which makes MOVIAXIS® suitable for installation in control
cabinets with a depth of 300 mm. In this design, the units are available in a power range starting
at a rated current of 2 A and a supply power of 10 kW right through to a peak current of 250 A and
peak power of 187 kW.

Functionality and control technology
Thanks to the standard power supply, the integrated Twin-CAN system bus and the intelligent
distribution of functions, all system components can be combined flexibly to form individual drive
solutions. These features ensure that MOVIAXIS® has a high level of scalability.
Another advantage: The communication options and integratable control technology are just as flexible.
No matter whether central, decentral or hybrid drive automation structures are needed –
MOVIAXIS® multi-axis servo inverters can always be adjusted as required which makes them an extremely
reliable solution for future requirements.

Safety technology
Safety technology can be integrated in the basic unit of the MOVIAXIS® multi-axis servo inverter:
up to category 3 (EN 954-1 / EN 201), performance level "D" (PrEN ISO 13849-1), stop
categories 0+1, "safe protection against restart." Adding another option lets you implement applications
in category 4, performance level "E". For applications that require more specialized safety functions,
such as "safe reduced speed," MOVIAXIS® multi-axis servo inverters can be combined with MOVISAFE® 100.

Installation and range of applications
Suitability for industry and simple assembly were two of the most important aspects taken into account
during the development of the MOVIAXIS® multi-axis servo inverter. The result is a stable housing design,
installation-friendly strain relief and EMC-optimized separation of the power and signal levels. The unit
can be installed quickly and easily thanks to a hole matrix for retaining screws and the complete integration
of all cooling elements in the housing of the basic unit. Possible system configurations: TN and TT systems
(IT systems on request).
