CMS Electric Cylinders

With its innovative CMS63S & M concept, SEW-EURODRIVE is offering customers worldwide an electric cylinder with low-maintenance oil bath lubrication for the first time. Tried and tested millions of times, the lubrication system for the gearmotors produced by the Bruchsal-based automation specialist has now been applied to linear technology. This has resulted in special features, such as homogeneous heating, increased efficiency and zero maintenance throughout the product's service life.

Electric cylinders are in wide use because of the compactness of such self-contained drive systems. In combination with electronic servo drive technology, it is possible to reliably carry out highly dynamic and precise motion sequences. Typically, threaded spindles in electric cylinders are lubricated with grease. However, due to the design, there is always a slight loss of lubricant, requiring relubrication. With its oil bath lubrication system, SEW-EURODRIVE is doing things differently.
